Bockbuster entertainment, The Witcher season 2 has become one of the few events worth anticipating. Netflix seems aware: On top of rumors that the show already got the season 3 greenlight, the streaming service is set to release an animated Witcher sidequel produced by Studio Mir and a six-part, live-action prequel series titled The Witcher: Blood Origin.
The Witcher season 2 Cavill will obviously return as Geralt of Rivia, alongside Anya Chalotra reprising her role as Yennefer, Freya Allan returning as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier the Bard, among others. Kim Bodina will also be taking on the role of Vesemir, the mentor of Geralt of Rivia.

Season 2 reportedly still expected to release sometime in 2021. Netflix has also release a prequel called Blood Origin, set 1,200 years before Geralt's story.
